Recently I bought a bag of dried chickpeas with chili and lime seasoning. They were decent, but very dry and expensive. They were definitely not worth the six dollars I paid for them.

I decided to try to make my own yesterday, and they ended up much better than the store bought kind! Even my non-celiac coworker loved them.

Difficulty: Very Easy

You will Β need…

1 Can Chickpeas
Juice from 1 Lemon
1 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 t Salt
1/2 t Paprika
1 t Chili Powder
1/2 t Oregano

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and mix all the ingredients in a bowl until the chickpeas are well coated!


Once the chickpeas are ready, put them in a single layer on a cooking pan, and bake for about 15 minutes. I ended up broiling mine for 5 minutes afterward to give them a little more crunch!


When they are done baking, let them cool and enjoy! They will keep for a few days in the fridge in an airtight container. πŸ™‚
